In Satar's own words

I am an experienced BBC TV cameraman and VT editor and would be interested in any relevant opportunities within your organisation. I have a strong track record as a news shoot/edit: filming, packaging and operating live equipment to tight deadlines. This includes coverage of major international stories for BBC News, BBC World and BBC language services, in challenging conditions in Afghanistan. I also filmed and edited several BBC documentaries there, before the Government resettled my family to the UK in August 2021. Since 2022, I have enjoyed working as a studio cameraman, VT editor and technical operator at BBC East Midlands Today in Nottingham.

It tells Satar that the work has been seen, that it matters, and that people are proud of it. For a nominee, that can be the moment that makes the whole year.
