Youths Choice is a student-run radio station started in 2018. We got up and running with daily presenters broadcasting 24/7. With the growth and passion of the students, we launched a sister station called Youths Choice Anthems, playing old-school music and allowing more presenters to start their journey in the industry. We took the station out of the studios and onto locations, doing OBs and events, while creating social content for our news outlet, the LOOP, on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, including podcast videos and cypher.

Working amoungst a small team of 15-20 people and being able to mange expectiaons and deligate task out to their repected job roles helped me learn and understnd what its like to lead a team and be able to come up with ideasa and set ideas into place to hit our target audiance we was able to achive a mile stone reaching over 1 million followers on soicals being able to go on location out of the studio to boradcast and film, as the teams drive develeoped so did the ideas and presenters that helped bring it all toegather

The Journey started as just a presenter on Youth Choice 2 days a week for an hour, and I enjoyed it so much that I was able to show the management that I was reliable enough to take on the breakfast show for 2 hours, 3 days a week- a big jump. However, I was able to keep the nerves down and present to the best of my ability as time went on, and I got more involved with the station and the event that would happen. I was made Station Manager and head of Technical. This gave the the biggest responsablity i have ever gotten as i was incharge of 150+ on 2 stations with a team of 15-20 people as well being able to deleigate and hand out taks helped me alot to understand how a team works and what really keeps a staion and company moving have weekly meetings allowed us to come up with ideas to help boost the staion and attract the Target audiance we were looking for weather it was the socials or the radio its self the cyphers and DJ sets too the news outlet and game shows all to help the students at the acadmey learn and see why the media industry is so great
