In Liz's own words

I enjoy my career and work hard. As a journalist, you never stop learning. There is always an interview where you find out a new bit of information. Or research that uncovers the unexpected. As a senior journalist, it's wonderful to encourage, mentor and lead colleagues old and new as news and technology move so fast! I'm honest, loyal and always professional. It costs nothing to be civil.

It tells Liz that the work has been seen, that it matters, and that people are proud of it. For a nominee, that can be the moment that makes the whole year.
